FREE TO BE ME- I LIKE WHAT I SEE
So often we allow others to manipulate how we present ourselves to the world. So many labels piled on top of us that attempt to define us. All we have to do is be who we were created to be in our own uniqueness.
We have parents telling us to be one way. We have religious leaders telling us about our sins and what not. My mom has ALWAYS encouraged me to be who I wanted to be without the labels. She says people are always going to talk about you so you have to be confident in who you are so it doesn't matter what others think about you.
This week I wanted my hair dyed and mom had no problem with it. She supports the idea that as long as you are here you on the earth you are to be the BEST expression of the Creator that I can be. Now don't get me wrong. She is always on my back about being respectful and learning my schooling stuff, but she is so cool about understanding that each individual has to like what they see when they look in the mirror.
